SPLICE is a pre-accredited arts based education program that enables young people who have experienced cancer treatment to re-engage with learning when traditional pathways can be challenging.

The program is an innovative partnership between ONTrac at Peter Mac, the CAE/Box Hill Institute and the RCH Education Institute and was established in 2011.

​

Prior to COVID, students attended weekly art classes at the Centre for Adult Education on Flinders Lane under the expert tutelage of Mia Schoen, but in true 2020 fashion, have pivoted to weekly zoom art classes since March. 

​

In addition to participating in the SPLICE program, all young people also receive education and vocation support from the ONTrac at Peter Education/Vocation team to support future planning and transition into higher education or employment – things that are crucial to a happy and productive life!
