My artwork is focused on landscapes and still life. Through the use of mediums I am able to showcase my passion for art and see the world in a different perspective. Art has enabled me to appreciate the tiniest details that another person may not take note of. It has also shaped my value towards colour hues, and eventually I realised the beauty when altering colour schemes to highlight my emotions. And, hopefully I have achieved that.
The mediums that I have used are oil pastels, pencils and acrylic paint. Through my art journey in SPLICE, I have acknowledged and researched many well known artists. However, in particular the foundation of my artwork is inspired by the work of Giorgio Morandi. In his art, Morandi explored in painting still life - simple objects like bottles, vases, flowers and landscapes, and I have also focused on these aspects whilst adding a bit of character to each of my pieces that accentuates my own art identity.
