I have been in the SPLICE program since late 2019. Over this past year I have had the freedom and support to experiment with different surfaces, mediums and techniques. I think this is obvious, with no two pieces in my collection the same.

 

I challenged myself creatively this year by using some more unusual methods, like using leftover syringes and zip lock bags to pipe thick amounts of paint onto my work, or using a screwdriver to reveal an under drawing. I worked mostly with acrylic paints, but I also tried oil pastels, clay and pens.

 

My work is often inspired by the strange dreams I’ve had and places I have been.
